Squirrel squirrel, where are you?
And so, the final North London derby at THOF ended 1-1. Won't go into the specifics of the match right now, still feeling a little sick in the stomach.
It was a lousy goal to concede (all goals conceded against Spuds are lousy but this one is particularly so), van Persie spurned a golden chance, and Titi finished beautifully from good work by Ade to steal the draw before Edgar Davids the scum was sent off after collecting his second yellow for clattering into Cesc. 10-men Spuds defended the remaining 10 minutes or so with their lives and were able to leave with a precious point.
Said this before and I'll say it again, it is crystal clear we do not yet have the depth to challenge comfortably in both the EPL and the CL. The difference between the team with and sans Titi, Cesc and Eboue was more than obvious.
Phil left with a knee knock before the hour mark and hopefully he'll be fit for the return leg at Villareal whether Sol returns or not.
It is now imperative that we win the Cup if we want to see CL football next season. I see the Spuds winning both their remaining matches against sorry Bolton and West Ham.
Whichever way, the season is still very much alive but getting the right result on Tuesday is now more important than ever before. C'mon, you guys, pull yourselves together and let's sink some yellow subs!!
Oh, and I actually missed the squirrel more than Titi. Could you believe it? Ya, shame on me :p
