FT: Reading 0 Arse 4
1 min: GOAL! Titi scores! Cool-as-ever long-range sweep into the net after excellent work from Fab Cesc within the 1st minute. Reading shocked.
39 min: GOAL! Our two wide men links up superbly to get the deserved 2nd goal. Hleb starts the move and plays a one-two with Rosicky before unleashing a bolt of lightning past the Reading keeper. Wonderful to see the two of them and Cesc hugging like they just scored a World Cup goal.
RvP, Hoyte, Titi, and Fab Cesc all missed chances between the goals, but the football from the Arse flowed beautifully. Second half coming up....
50 min: GOAL! Sublime one-touch exchanges between Titi and Hleb leaving the entire Reading back line awe-struck. Before they know it, Hleb had released the ball to RvP who made no mistake this time from close range.
51 min: Reading's Seol Ki-Hyeon almost forces an own goal off Gallas. Lehmann makes a fantastic save. Reading corner but nothing comes out of it.
70 min: GOAL (pen)! Reading keeper Marcus Hahnemann brings Cesc down in the box. Clear decision for the ref. Captain Titi, who provided the defense splitting pass for Fab Cesc, scores the penalty off the bottom of the right post - again as cooly as you can possibly be.
77 min: Rosicky, who has a pretty good game despite missing a couple of decent chances in front of goal, is replaced by Alexandre Song. Ade and Theo have also come in for Hleb and RvP four mins before.
Final Score: Reading 0 Arsenal 4
Reading had a spirited spell on the ball after the string of substitutions as the Arse took the foot off the pedal. However, it did not last long - the Arse were soon playing "keep ball" at the Madjeski Stadium. And so, good riddance of our mid-week blues on frost-bitten Russian pitches and the very nice win hoists us up to 4th place on the table.
A good weekend on the pitch - it's now 1 am where I am but I'm not going to bed just yet. Jumping from the pitch in England straight to the race tracks at Interlagos. It's Schumi's last official F1 race and although he's starting at 10th place (car problems again during yesterday's qualifying), I'm just hoping he'd come up with another Michael miracle. Will definitely pay the price tomorrow but I'm not missing this for anything. Go Schumi go!
